I just stumbled across some info while looking for something else, and thought it might be of interest to you in terms of your husband's ap being transferred to Port au Prince rather than going to Buffalo.

Section 5.17 of the OP1 Processing Manual talks about "lawfully admitted to", and, to me anyway, it seems to say that family members of an applicant who was legally admitted to a country for at least one year do not have to meet that criteria themselves to be processed under the same application, at the visa office where the applicant is being processed. Maybe I'm reading it wrong - but see what you think.
Ohhh Thank YOU! That is exactly what I thought and now it's confirmed...UNLESS like you I am reading wonrg - but what are the chances of us both reading wrong!!

That being said...reading further on - Im wondering if I didnt supply sufficient proof that he was admitted for a year - and that the multiple entry TR Worker Visa in itself wasnt sufficient proof - I could have easily had a contract for our race team made up and included, but I assumed that the VISA was what they were asking for.

I have sent a letter and included that link to my MP's office to see if there is anything that they can do about this for me.

Thanks for thinking of me Robsluv - your awesome!
My pleasure. Can't help myself much these days, but maybe I can help others.
Well for what it's worth - I think your great. I read your story over the weekend and cant believe what you have been put through...

Actually - on my above reply to you - I was going to go on and b*tch about how unfair and unjust this whole process is to us Canadians...to think that they can make an error with regards to processing offices that could cost us 10 months and I dont even have the right to speak with someone who has a clue...and then I sat back and thought, wow...here I am whining over a processing office, to someone who has literally been put thru hell...

You are an amazing person, to be on this site helping others after all that you have been thru and I am sending all my positive thoughts that this will get resolved for you.

Hugs and a million thanks!
With humble thanks . . . the support we've received here means everything to us. I don't know how we would keep going without it.
