Today, yet another envelope arrives from the Seattle consulate.
Now they want...

MY PASSPORT!
(and photos)

I was afraid to open it - I couldn't - my fella had to do it.
Request letter issued March 19 - I faxed both Ottawa & Seattle concerning my medical. This time Ottawa replied back very quickly that Seattle had the medical. Doubt my fax had any impact, but it's obvious that Seattle was waiting on the medical.

I cannot THANK everyone enough for all their help and SUPPORT over these last 2 years & 10 days!

We are just over the moon!

Great.... So happy for you!!!!

Immigration years are like dog years 1 year feels like 7
I am soooo very happy for you, hon! WTG!
Yay!!!!!!!! That is awesome!
Congratulations.
Thanks all - we've spent the whole day since we found out basically celebrating...LOL

The funny thing is - I faxed Ottawa & Seattle both on the 19th - and yesterday - faxed another CAIPS request.

Since we need photos & can't get them done here, we're going to town on Tuesday & will get the photos, and also go to a Fed-Ex outlet to send the passport and buy a return envelope & waybill.

Will be landing at the local office - Victoria, there is no appointment necessary for this. We were told to just go on a Tuesday between 8a - 3p so...hopefully they stamp the passport quickly and then I can LAND!
awesome! congrats!

I have a small question on landing..are you in Canada right? How do you land? Do you have to go back to the States and come back in? I am thinking about going to Canada after filing for PR and hopefully its going to be approved while I am there.

Cheers!!Happyguy
Recently (last 6 months or so?) CIC has made it so that outland applicants can land at a local office (like inland applicants).

So, we are going to land at the local office in Victoria, it's faster & to be honest, cheaper for us to do it that way. Bonus that we don't have to make an appt - we can just go on a Tuesday!
