hi guys, may be helpful to share our timeline with you:
application sent: 24 November 2009
application received CIC-M: 30 November 2009
sponsor approved: 23 December 2009
london processing: 19 January 2010
additional documents requested: 04 February 2010
*note -- we sent in the wrong police check, oops
meds received: 16 February 2010
additional documents sent to london: 20 February 2010
email PPR: 03 March 2010
*note -- ecas updated to DM not until 08 March 2010
passport returned: 25 March 2010
four months in total, not bad at all. we're hoping andy will land in late april, early may. the plan is to be in hamilton as i'll be situated at mcmaster university.
thanks to everyone on this site for posting questions. although we are not regular posters, we are regular readers and many of the questions and answers here helped us a great deal. thanks again!
