Hi

How long does it take to get a disposition through the U.S. courts. The charges are 25 years old.

Are we looking at months and months is there a quick way around this.

Canadian Consulate gives out rehab apps. is this an avenue to go.

I have heard it can take up to 18 months to get everything cleared up. God I hope not times ticking on us were getting old.

Thanks
Bunny
If you are looking for / talking about getting a letter of disposition from the court - it's anyone's guess. Each court operates differently, and being the charges are 25 years old, they may have to get files out of storage / archive.

I requested a letter of disposition from a court in NY State - took about a month. Keep in mind that each court has their own rules!

In my case I needed to send a notarized letter and $5 USD for each letter I requested - so that one month I mentioned included snail mail times in either direction.

You/he really needs to get in contact with the court where this happened - if he lives near there and can go in person - it could possibly be done in a matter of hours. The court where I got mine from said I could come in & do it right there. Since that wasn't an option, we had to go the snail mail route.

My husband was able to go to the court where it happened and get the final disposition the same day. The documents were for charges 12 years old.
Hi

Once you get the disposition what do you do next. Can you have DUI's expunged when they are 25 years old or do you still have to get a Rehab from the Canadian Consulate.

Thanks
