Hello,

Does anyone know what is the expiration date of Medical Exam from date it takes place with when app. is sending out (outland)? Thanks.
Medical exam results are valid for one year from the date of the exam.
Thanks, Robsluv. So, as long as the medical exam dated within 1 yr from when exam taken to date of app. send out, it should be good, right? I'm just trying to see what my gf can do ahead of time before other things keeping us busy. Thanks again.
It's in your best interest to wait until you are pretty well ready to send in the application. It DOES & WILL take longer to do the application than you think it will.
Trust us on this :)

If you go ahead & have her do the medical now, it might be 4-5 months before you are ready to send the application and you run the risk of it expiring.
Your gf does have to get her medical done before she submits the application - and the validity date will be a year from the date of the exam. Obviously the PR application needs to be filed within that year - but keep in mind that the older a medical exam is when the ap is submitted, the more chance that she'll have to get another one done before she can land. That's because the Confirmation of Permanent Residence that they issue when they finally approve the application will also have an expiration date - and that date will be the date the medical exam expires. So, she can end up having to redo the medical simply because it took long enough to process the application that there's not enough time left for them to issue the COPR and get her traveled to Canada and landed before the medical expires. Sometimes they extend them - but there's no guarantee of that. So, basically, don't do it too far in advance.
