I came across this posting on craigslist last week and applied but thought I'd share here as I think there are a few people looking for work in Vancouver area.

PROTRANS BC is the operator of the Canada Line Project, one of the largest Public
Private Partnerships to be initiated in Canada, and currently the largest single public
transit project underway in the country. When completed, this 19km fully automated
rapid transit rail system will connect the City of Richmond, the Vancouver International
Airport and the City of Vancouver Business District.

The Station attendant provides high quality customer service to all passengers within
assigned areas of the Canada Line while maintaining PROTRANS BC’s values and
operational standards. They participate in the inspection of fares while following
compliance procedures, respond to emergencies according to Protrans BC’s Rules and
Operating procedures, and provide quick resolution to equipment failures. The Station
attendant utilizes the skills obtained through participation in training, re-training,
certification, re-certification and all other company sponsored training through classes,
schools and programs. This position guarantees 20 hours of work per week, flexible start
times, exceptional wages and benefits, and a safe, positive work environment.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide a high level of customer service to all passengers, including those with special
needs, to enhance customer service and safety.
Address and provide information to customers via public address system, personal
contact, as well as published brochures to inform them about services provided by the
Canada Line.
Conduct fare checks and inspections of ticket holders to ensure full compliance on trains
and at stations.
Inspect stations and trains for any vandalism and ensure train and station cleanliness.
Participate in station openings and closings as required.
Provide crowd control during peak passenger traffic, working alongside other functions
to maintain safety and security of the Canada Line system.
Retrieve and respond to lost property or passengers and assist as necessary.
Assist with special customer relations activities and events.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to interact effectively with passengers and resolve and/or avoid conflict when
appropriate; excellent customer service skills.
Ability to correctly analyze a situation and respond accordingly.
Ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
Capable of working well independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment; stand for long periods of time.
Comfortable working in an underground area for an entire shift.
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Available to work 7 days per week including weekends and holidays on a 24 hour shift
basis.
Available to work initial 8 weeks of employment on a full-time basis for comprehensive
training.

Based on a post on a blog I frequent by an employee who works for the company already, the p/t station attendant pay is 21.50/hr but dont hold me to it...

I received an email from them over the weekend/today, and he said to drop in between certain times on certain days (its in the email but I dont remember off hand the exact days.) I am just arranging transportation and will drop in soon on the days he said to.
