We just got news today (via email, actually) that they are requesting my other half's passport!!!! This is the best week ever, he just booked a flight yesterday to come visit for two weeks in August for my sister's wedding, but now he can just STAY! FOREVER!!!!

thanks everyone!!!! so relieved that we finally got some news, and it's GOOD NEWS! our ECAS was only updated twice during the entire thing, so it really didn't reflect how much progress was going on behind the scenes. the entire time i would log on here and see other people who had gotten theirs approved and while i was happy for them, i was also thinking how much i hated them, haha! so to anyone feeling like i did - yours will come!!!
