Hi All,

Hope you guys are doing great. I am a new member and please see the details below:

1] Applied for the citizenship in Jan, 2011.
2] Received acknowledgement letter with a booklet in Feb 22, 2011

After that, I have not received any letter from the office yet. Online status says that they have received my application.

I am not sure whether my application was forwarded to the local office or not. Does anyone in this forum have similar status like me?

My last question: I am moving to Ontario from Manitoba and planning to update the address online. Can you please mail me whether moving to a new province would affect the processing time of my application?

Can I use my friend's address in Manitoba as a permanent address for my application even when I left for Ontario?

It can affect your timeline because when they call you for your test is determined by how many applications the local office has and how many employees there are doing the processing. I got called for my test in about 16 months. Some people wait over 2 years.
