Our sponshorship was approved on Nov 22nd, 2010.
We received AOR from Buffalo on Jan 13th, 2011.
Our file got transfered to the Seattle Consulate on Jan 26th, 2011 \"to expidiate our case\".

On the Seattle Consulate Website (http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/sea...?lang=eng) it says the following:

Processing Times
Permanent Residents
You will be sent a letter showing your file number and outlining the next steps in processing within 20 weeks of the date of your application\'s receipt at this office.

Please do not contact us during this period - except to notify us if there is a change in your mailing address or if you decide to withdraw your application.

On June 15th it will be 20 weeks and so far I have heard absolutely nothing from the Seattle Consulate. I want to ask the Consulate for an update to our case. What is the best way to ask for an update? Should I phone them, write them a letter, send them an e-mail, go to the consulate, fax them, etc. Also exactly what should I ask? I want to make sure I ask the write questions in the best possible mannor where I can get the most meaningful response.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,
Wait until June 16th then email. I\'ve had very good luck with getting fast responses from Seattle, but you don\'t want to push your luck by emailing before their stated time.
