I\'m getting a little ahead of my own timeline here but am wondering how long they give you to send in your passport once they request it. It seems I saw somewhere that they give you a time limit. Just trying to see if I can make plans to attend an event in the states this summer..thanks for any info.

Not too sure how it works. We received our PPR on March 21st and were advised to submit prior to May 30th which equated to about a 10 week time frame.
I\\\'m thinking they may also take into consideration when your medical expires so that you are left enough time between visa issuance and the expiry of your medical to land. Somehow I think that if our medical expired in June instead of August that perhaps the deadline for passport submission would of been earlier.
I\\\'m sure others will sound off and you will be able to get an \\\"average\\\" time frame.
From our PPR email:
\"Please submit your passport(s) within the next 30 days. The issuance of your visa(s) is time sensitive so it is important for you to submit your passport(s) as requested.\"
From our PPR email :
We are pleased to inform you that the processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada has been completed.
Consequently, you are required to submit your passport(s) and photographs within the next sixty (60) days from the date of this letter. As the validity of your visa(s) has been already been established and is limited to a fixed date, it CANNOT be extended under any circumstances. We therefore urge you to read and follow carefully the instructions below without delay:
Thanks for the responses. So, it sounds like no set time limit and perhaps related to the medical exam.
I got my PPR early April and they gave me until May 30. Interestingly enough, my medical had expired in February. I was sure they would ask me to re-do it, but there was no mention of it.
