Mailed my app to Mississauga priority with signature needed. I have tracked my parcel but they haven't picked it up with a signature yet today. Did I do the right thing by having them sign for it.

The Mississauga address I had on my paper on where to send it was a Post Office # so that's how I sent it. I will track it for a couple of more days and see what happens I guess. I didn't have a actual physical address as a street name.

Unfortunately you probably will not get confirmation of receipt having sent it to the post office box number. The guide lists the alternative address for courier deliveries.
I believe, however, that the odds are very high that they got it, nonetheless. Perhaps someone else knows, with more certainty, how the postal system works when there is an incongruity like this, but I believe it gets delivered sans a signature. Alternative, I suppose, is that it gets returned to you. Clerk who took the package should have alerted you to the fact that no signature acknowledging receipt is available from a box number.
Assuming that it is indeed simply delivered, no receipt guaranteed, your waiting time for any action will be a little more agonizing because you do not have confirmation of their receiving it. But you should try not to worry so much about this, since, again, unless they return it to you soon, the odds are very very high that it was received and is in process.

The postal clerk should have told you, no signature to PO Boxes
I'd say also that chances are better than 99% that it arrived safe & sound

I track it to the Mississauga P.O. where it was addressed but like you indicate there is no signature that anyone has picked it up as yet so I guess I just wait and see....people should give you more info like you said.

I've just sent in our package as well (about an hour ago actually). This website has been a huge help to my husband and I. (I'm Canadian, sponsoring my American husband).
Although, I've looked in the guide and i cannot find another address that allows you to courier your package. I'm just as worried now as Bunny was. I've just sent it with CanadaPost via Xpresspost and I've also asked for a signature. I didn't find this thread til just now and I think my nerves just kicked in full speed again lol.
Bunny, if you're still checking the websites, how far along is your case so far? if you dont mind me asking :)

They have the mail I sent them even though they didn't sign for it.
They received it July 7th
They claim on their website when I check that there has been a decision made on the sponsorship on Aug. 6 and a letter sent although I haven't received a letter.
It is now in Buffalo and they are "Processing my husband's app.
From there on who knows haven't heard a thing as yet.
I check all the time.

To try to reassure you, Trunky... I sent my our application to the P.O. Box in July via XpressPost (no signature), had approval for sponsorship in August, and my husband's file is now in Buffalo. We know it's in process and the medical results have been received. So I'm sure yours will be just fine. ;)
