My cousin is a new immigrant and just got married from the Middle East. He likes to invite his wife to come to visit him however he afraid her visa will be denied if she tells that she going to visit her husband, specially he did not start her PR application yet. If she does not tell that she is married in the visiting visa application. Is this could be a problem when he start the sponsor ship process? He is planning Outland.
Thank you,
The wife would be applying to visit Canada and she really shouldn't misrepresent herself by not mentioning the fact that she's married to a Canadian PR. She needs to be honest - chances are good that her visa will be denied - but if she can show that she has strong ties to home, a job to return to, etc, there might be a chance. All she can do is try.
Thanks for the quick replay. The problem, she is pregnant and he really wants the baby to be porn in Canada and that is the only reason he wants her wife to come instead of him visiting. He is very afraid that her visa to visit to be denied and his baby won’t be Canadian by birth. In the main time, he does not want to jeopardise his wife sponsor application in the near future. By the way, she expected to have the baby by December 2009. How is such misrepresentation could affect her future PR application?
Well - if she applies for a visa and claims she's not married, there is a really good chance of having a problem when her PR is applied for.

You see, in the PR application - they ask for the date of the marriage
Then they'll see that she "forgot" to mention that she was married when she applied for a visa - there you go - misrepresentation

He can sponsor both she & the child to Canada.
I don't know how long they've been married but he could have applied the day after they were married.

I really hope they weren't married when your cousin landed

He landed last October 2008 and married Last December 2008. They had waited until he landed before getting married...
