My Canadian Common law Spouse is sponsoring me and I have my application all set to go. I thought I could pay the fees online but I just read that I can't. I am sending my application into Buffalo and they say "All fees for Family Class applicants must be submitted to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario using an official fee receipt (IMM5401)." But you can only order the receipt to a Canadian address and then you have to make the payment through a Canadian financial institution?? My spouse and I live the US currently and we could have it sent to his parents house but then we have no idea how we would go about making the payment! I am so confused and frustrated. Every time I think I have figured it all out a new thing comes up. Please help. I have searched through the forum and found nothing. Thank you

You will be sending the sponsorship and the application with attachments to Mississauga, not Buffalo, so you can pay on line.

I feel like Ktmcrorie - there's a new question(s) every step of the way. Mine is as follows: I'm Canadian living in Canada - sponsoring my American wife who lives in the U.S. I just paid the Sponsor, Applicant and ROPR fee online - a total of $ 1040.00. I am unsure who's name and address to put down on the receipt form - can it be mine ( the sponsor ), or does it need to be my wife's ( the applicant ) ? And finally, what do I put in the 'Client ID' box ( after it asks for your name and date of birth ) ?

Put your name and info down, since you were the one who paid the fees. You won't have a Client ID number unless you've had past dealings with CIC inside Canada -- if you don't have one or don't know it, you can leave it blank. (Yes! This is one place you can leave a blank with no worries :P).
