I searched the forums to find info on this but couldn't find anything.
I'm curious what range of $$ I should expect the medical exam to be for my American spouse? He would either go to Seattle or come up here to Vancouver BC to get it done, depending on which method is easier and cheaper. We visit each other regularly so him coming up here isn't an extra cost.

For me on the east coast cost about $500 US, it may be cheaper in Canada not sure though. I only had 2 options in the state I was in, the difference was only $25 or so between the two.
Wow, that's expensive! I found a list of places here in Vancouver and found one that is for $264 and they do everything in one location.
One thing I am confused about, they ask you bring a form specific to how you are applying: either a form for applying in Canada or outside Canada.
I am sponsoring him from Canada but he is still living in USA and will remain living there until he is allowed to work here. That's considered applying outside Canada correct?

Yeah, it wasn't cheap. I have heard it is cheaper in Canada for the medical. But, should check both places.
It is much less expensive in Canada. It would have cost almost 400 dollars to have it done in the US, but the cost was 186 in Toronto. This included the required labs and an extra charge for outland immigration.
I had my medical done yesterday near Toronto, it cost $175 including the x-rays, blood tests, etc.
I know the cost of living in BC is higher than here in ONT though, so try calling around people near you too.
The prices for DMP's vary as I phoned around 6 or so places, from $175-$280 CND. Nowhere near $500!
Calling around for the best price isn't always an option.
In the big cities you have more choices, but for example in Victoria - there's only one place to have it done unless you want to go up to Nanaimo.
Someone mentioned the $60 fee somewhere (this thread? can't remember).
Our DMP gives you a sheet (which is wrong, but anyways) - it listed the $60 fee for courier if the medical reports were going outside of Canada.

Yeah, unfortunately the only places that was reasonable to drive to was near Washington DC, they charge high for everything up there. And with only 2 choices, they can charge what they want for it. :(
Mine was $225 in Edmonton, and would have been over $500 in Florida.

My wife is going to be getting her and her children's medical soon near Washington D.C. If you don't mind my asking how much did your medical cost? I think she wants to go to the one in Bethesda?? (not Geithersburg) She will be paying for 5 persons and that will cost for sure no matter what.

I just got my husbands medical done yesterday in downtown Vancouver and it cost $275.75 for everything including the x-ray which was done at another hospital. Hope that helps!

I was thinking of going to them too, but I found a place in Burnaby for $100 cheaper. Wonder why there is such a big price difference, convenience I suppose? It's only 5 blocks from my place...

I went to Reston VA. was around $475 including x rays.
For sure call the one in Bethesda might be cheaper. I didn't think about checking MD prices, probably should have though. :)
