Hi folks.

My name is Dave and I'm just getting into all of this immigration stuff. I met my girlfriend while I was in school in Chicago and now that I've graduated and she is about to graduate we are trying to figure out what the next step is. I am feeling pretty overwhelmed by the cic site and this site has so far been the most helpful. Thanks!

to RTC, Dave. I think you'll find some helpful information here. The CIC site is confusing to navigate because it has to apply to so many types of situations. If you're looking for US/Canada information specific to spousal sponsorship, read through the information on our companion site, US2Canada. It'll give you a reasonable overview of what's involved, and then you'll have a basis for asking more specific questions of the fine folks here who are always ready and willing to help out with advice, support and encouragement.
