I know this subject has been covered to death - but I cant seem to figure out what I need to know from the previous threads - so sorry if this is redundant.

Even though it's early in our process (File rcvd at PAP March 31st / In process June 1st)..I want to go ahead and order the CAIPS notes, and see if they will hopefully give me an idea about what stage the file is at - the mds were rcvd on the same date the file went IN PROCESS on Ecas, which is not normal - the girls (my accompanying step daughters) names arent in Ecas...and I just want to see if there is a bring forward date or something like that, to give me an idea of WHENNNN!!

So my question is - since my husband is IN canada on a TRV, we can order it in his name without the $5.00 fee - right??

And you can request the overseas file or just the CAIPS notes - which one do I select?

He can order the file for free
CAIPS notes - not the file unless you want/need to see everything you sent in

Hey Derbygirl - that's great. Thanks.

One more quick question - will the CAIPS notes contain eveything about him (meaning the information from his previous TRV's App's) as well, or just the info on his PR app.

I honestly don't know
I've received my CAIPS like...4 times now, but I've never had a TRV or such so I don't know

Hi Racergurl!!

Our CAIPS notes had a little note about our relationship and that he applied for visitor visas.

Also had the application file number for the TRV listed in brackets.

It lists all the stuff you included as proof & identity documents as well.

They should arrive in about 6 weeks or so and will come in French!
