Hi.
Would anyone be willing to email me the "Authorization to Release" letter for the FBI background check? Or does anyone have another link to it?

I tried to get it from this Page
http://us2canada.com/criminal.php
But when I click the link that says to find it on page 7, I get a pdf that has no page 7, and no "Authorization to Release" letter that I can find.Confused

help?

When my husband got his FBI clearance a couple of months ago, he didn't send an "Authorization to Release" letter. He included the fingerprint card, the FBI cover letter, and the money order. We wrote the date we needed it by on the envelope, and it was back by that date. I think it took about 3 weeks total.

Apparently CIC has taken the "Authorization to Release" form out of the outland Region Specific forms, where you would have initially found it on page 7. But you can still click on the Authorization to Release link at US2Canada, which takes you to the inland forms where they still have the form at Appendix A. After you open the link, scroll down the list at the left of the pdf document and click on Appendix A.
do you think i will need that if i am applying outland?
I didn't send one in for my FBI report - or my state checks either

ok thank you all for your answers. ill just send it without the form.

On a slightly unrelated note... Derbygirl... You had to apply for rehabilitation? I fear I may have to also to be cleared for my juvenile record. Can you share any details about the process? Maybe start a new thread about it. Im so nervous that my stupid juvenile record is going to be my demise. And I cant cross into the USA to do anything cause I fear I wont be let back in to Canada. So is there any way to do the whole rehibilitation without going back to the USA? ug sorry. Everything is so complicated! I appreciate any advice and info about this.
Hi Rene, I wish mine was a juvenile record.
It's an old DWI - if you look for all threads started by me - you can see the history. I don't have a lot of started threads so...it's not as bad as it sounds..lol

Will be posting more about my rehab application to update an old thread - just haven't gotten around to it
