I see that no one from Quebec has posted their stats here for a long time. Luckily it seems that MICC has sped up a bit and CSQs are being processed much faster than before. The other people who posted their timelines all took nearly a year from start to finish, but I believe they are now closer to six months for a straightforward application.

Here's hoping mine is the same!

There is another forum at Canadavisa.com and there are two Quebec people that are one month and 2 weeks ahead of me, respectively. In addition there is one Quebec person that filed 1 day before me. I am watching their stats like a hawk because once theirs start moving I know mine is not much further! Tomorrow is a tuesday, and I hope to hear at least one of them has good news!
I updated my stats on the first entry. On the 27th of July a letter was sent saying my initial assessment was finished and that they didn't need anything additional documents from me. It also said it was unlikely that I would need an interview and that they knew I had taken my medical and were waiting on getting the results. I believe they already have them since the letter was written, because the 27th was the day I freaked out about my medicals being done improperly. Basically the DMP misunderstood what I needed and gave me only the receipts for the medical, not appendix C---they thought I was doing an inland application--language barriers suck! So on the 27th I emailed Buffalo and faxed Ottawa RMC to see what they they could do and RMC replied a few days that they had sent the medicals to Buffalo.

I've been looking at trackitt.com and in the past several months some people that have gotten their "initial assessment" have gotten their PPR in about a week's time! Of course some took about a month as well. I really want to get this done as soon as possible, if I get it back before the end of August I can start my "free" French lessons from the Quebec government....otherwise I have to wait until November...
Hello! i just mailed my application today for my husband outland application.
I live in quebec, and i am lil confused about the timeline.
I know it takes about 1 months for Buffalo to approve the sponsors, but after how long does it take for Quebec to approve?

I hope it wont take forever grrrrrr

they're supposed to only take 20 business days (aka 1 month) for the CSQ but mine took 6 weeks. I'm not an isolated incident either, however, I was applying at the beginning of summer so maybe my person was on vacation?

From what I've heard, Mississauga sends the application to Buffalo where it waits in line until it gets the ok from Quebec. I got my AOR (acknowledgment of receipt) from Buffalo before my CSQ so I know it doesn't just get pushed back to the end of the pile.

hope that helps!
Did u get any more updates?

decision made is completely normal! it most likely means that the sponsorship has been approved and you'll get the letter in a few days, you HAVE to send a copy of it along with your forms for MICC for the CSQ. The CSQ will take a couple of weeks (longer for me, but it was approaching summer so it took awhile) and then it will go to your outside Canada office.

Good luck! Quebec applications seem to take 6-7 months from the time it gets to mississauga as long as there's nothing missing your application and they have to ask for things.
I really hope i got accepted as sponsor, even if theres really no reason why i shouldnt be. Blush

Did you start taking your free french lessons? If so how is it going for you? Do you like it here?
