my application is already mid-process in buffalo and they sent me an additional document request.

when i originally sent off for my criminal records, i didn't realize they needed both the FBI clearance as well as state... so i only sent off for FBI.

now my application is waiting on my state clearance and i have 90 days to get it to buffalo, but austin is taking forever to get my police certificate back to me.

i was just wondering how long it took others to get their police certificates back... just to give me an idea, i may need to contact their office.

(i have absolutely no record other than the occasional speeding ticket... so that shouldn't be the culprit)

It took me 6 weeks to get it back, you can contact them , they can answer your question

Each state is different - like susanskd said - you can always call where you requested it from & ask

Indiana - took a little over a week to get back.

I ordered criminals records from Europe: from 2 European countries I had lived in. I took them about 1 week to have them sent to Canada.

It took me a month to get my records back from Illinois, this includes sending it there, and getting it back.

For Pennsylvania it took 5 minutes. It's all online and they explicitly say they won't mail you anything unless you have a criminal record. Sure hope Buffalo doesn't have a problem with the printout.

Oregon took less than 2 weeks.
