Hi

I followed the immigration site with my Receipt #. It says "Started processing your application on August 6 "decision made" and letter was sent August 6th.

It is now August 17th and I haven't received a letter yet in the mail. It says "please allow for mail delay"......how long do I wait before phoning them and would they even be able to tell me whereabouts this letter might be or is this common for a letter to take this long.

Things don't always get mailed out right away
Frequently letters will be dated "X" and the postmark is "Y" - with "Y" being days, and sometimes weeks later

Assume it's positive - what does it say under the PR application part? "In process"?

hey dont worry about the delay it is normal ,but the important is the decision i hope it is an approval.

Nothing is under the PR area. So I assume it hasn't been sent on to Buffalo as yet.

I keep checking I guess that will be my lot in life until this is all complete.

Our sponsorship approval was on April 3rd, we didn't receive the letter until about 2 weeks later, and Buffalo didn't get our file until April 26th.
