Road to Canada is 30 days old today. To mark the occassion, we have signed up our 90th member!
We could have never predicted this kind of success for our tiny forum. A big thank you to Chelle and her partner FWC for making this such a friendly and troll free place. FWC... thank you for your willingness to host us - advertisement free. You are a star.
To our Road to Canada family... thank you for bringing your stories, your jokes and your questions. I hope we can continue to offer support, encouragement and answers when called upon.
All of us here are on a similar journey - to either be with the person we love or to find our dream of a better life - in Canada. We are all in this together.
Carry on!

YAY we're a month old!! :D
90? *looks again* it says 86 on my browser... what's going on? LOL (edited to say that on the member list it only says 86... on the forum page that says active members it's 90) ;P
Anyway.. YAY!! more coming everyday!
Welcome everyone, as Joohliya said.. we're in this together, and i'm thankful to get to meet and know you all.

cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is alternative heaven for immigration forum, abuse and commercial free! at least so far nobody questions me about dumb question again! " how comes there is a deer on the street, you lie!"
Awww, thanks Joohliya :)
I was really surprised at how this community took off. I think that just shows there was a genuine need for this type of site... one that deals with both CIC
and "life" issues. We seem to have a little niche here. Both types of forums serve a purpose - strictly informational vs. a 'community' - and there are dozens of the former available on the net. The latter.. not so much.
The whole immigration process is grueling enough, I'm happy we were able to provide a comfy place for folks to just kick back and add some friendship and support to their wait.
Thanks to Joohliya and ejspet for their willingness to help, and for their trust in me (picture a virtual stranger approaching you and saying "Hey! I'm going to start a new website, wanna help?")

You ladies are the best.
Thanks to the members for joining us. We wouldn't be here without all of you. Well... we would, we'd just be talking to ourselves :D
Here's to continued success

ps) DB - every time I'm driving and see a deer crossing sign, I giggle a little inside :D
I know that you all have not seen any posts from me but I've been passing the word around to several people I know who are going through immigration right now with their spouses. I think this is a classy and very friendly forum and I love popping in everyday just to see what's happening. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to read all the areas and make valuable contributions so I thank you for allowing me to visit. It's nice to have a group of friends with a common interest and passion!
Keep up the good work - and thanks to Chelle for starting this up!

Yay! Happy one-month anniversary, RTC! This place truly rocks, and I'm so glad to have found it.
Hey, to any of my fellow Ohioans (or other nearby folks) from the forum, if anyone is at all interested in a meetup sometime, let me know. It would probably be a lot of fun, since we'd know we were with similar-minded folks. :-)
lol... i've seen bears on the street, i couldn't believe it until i saw it... so i guess most people would say i'm lying too!
Congratulations to you guys i didnt realise the website was so young, its good to come here everyday and see everyones progress :D
To 30 more happy, days, weeks, months and years!!!
What happens to the forum when all of us get PR?

It is our intention to keep this forum here for as long as people need it/use it. As some of us get our PR's, others will come in needing help/support and I hope that those of us who have been through the process will still be around in some capacity to help them.. hence our slogan "people helping people" :)
There was a genuine need for this type of community, so as long as I know it's helping people, it's not going anywhere!
Oh good. Well, my application is almost finished and I am still here.
