We applied for PR through Buffalo as Skilled Workers in Feb '05. We got our file # in March '05.
Earlier this week we got a letter saying that "to expedite" our application our file has been transferred to LA. Is this normal? Does it mean we're approaching IA? Or does it mean we're now at the bottom of the LA queue and should expect to keep waiting?
Have others here also gotten such a letter recently?

yep, this is not AOR, quite a few people got this letter, don't need worry, this is just new policy on 2006.
I guess you live in U.S
Yup, US. I guess maybe this is Buffalo's way of admitting they're totally swamped with aplications since the US election?
Thanks for the info DB. I guess it's better to know that we're not alone in getting the letter.

I live in Canada, I post timeline before, no IA, no transfer letter.
I have already forgot there is PR processing.
