hi guys,

Nov, 2005 I had my medical and in Feb, got Passport Request for visa and also requested to update if any family member added. I send letter updating my daughter name. Surpriselly I got letter saying my PR has cancelled and I need to send my spouse (appli. form, FBI, fee, etc.,) ASAP.

when I initially applied in sep 2003 I was single but I faxed them letter in 2004 abt my marriage status. Somehow they didnt update or didnt received fax.

Anywaz worry is I dont wanna take them with me to canada right away, first I wanna drop myself set some job and get them, 2nd I dont wanna spend spouse application fee right now, 3rd my US GeenCard is also in process but ofcourse will take other 2-3 years for it.

What your guys suggestion ??
I didn't know that you can apply for PR in the US and Canada all at the same times. Out of curiousity, why would you wanna do that anyway?

It seems like you are saying that CIC revoked your PR approval due to failure to inform of change in your family/marital status. However, your post seems slightly confusing and hard to understand. Can you post a clearer timeline and specify which experience(s) you would like feedback or advice about?

Thx.
Yes you can apply PR in both USA n Canada.

CIC didnt revoked PR, but they cancelled Passport Request letter. And asked to fill all spouse n daughter formaility form ASAP.

Sorry I thought PR is also equal to Passport Request but which is not ;o)
new2 -- PPR (passport request) :D
Hi

The fax to CHC was nice, but you had to submit application forms for spouse and daughter and update your application to reflect your family. Also spouse and daughter have to have medicals even though they are not emigrating immediately. Because if they were not "examined" prior to your landing, they could never be sponsored in the family class.

By the way, it will almost be impossible to keep Green card and PR at the same time.

But with all the stress of immigrating to ONE country, why would you WANT to do this (ijuggle 2 parallel PR apps in diff. countries, that is)? I don't get itConfused

My medical was completed last Nov, 2005. Does it means I have to get my spouse, child medical and land in canada before Nov, 2006. If I land after plan to land after Nov, 2006 what abt my medical will it be reset ??

1. Right
2. If you medical expires, you will have to re do it, unless you are in the US/Canada as Buffalo will sometimes extend it for 3 or so months.

Well there's that :D But I would also think it would be near impossible to meet the residency requirements of both countries... at the same time.
CIC clearly states that all family members must be listed at time of application and forms must be completed EVEN IF you do not intend to have them initially come with you.

Just mentioning and applying with fee is succifient or we need to take medical exam. after we receive medical form. Even if family members are not landing with me.

You have gotta read the instructions in the application package. You will have submitted an ammended application including wife and child, your wife will have to complete her own application, with pccs, birth certs, etc. Then you have to wait for medical instructions.

Thats fine. I can send my spouse and child application. But if they get medical and gone thru. It will be valid for 1 yr. But I'm planing to take them after 2 yr or so. do they need to get new medical again that time.
Bascially when will I get PPR call again ?
