Well, I got my passport and landing papers in the mail on Wednesday, yesterday I went to the Niagara border and landed! Everything went smoothly and next week i'm going to apply for a SIN# and OHIP. Does anyone know if there is a wait for OHIP?? I heard there is but I hope it isn't too long a wait. Can't believe it's over!!!

One other question if anyone can answer, when I went inside to get my papers signed I was told my PR card should come in the mail within a few weeks. He made it sound like once I land the card should be on it's way soon. But we haven't paid the $50 fee for that just yet. Will it still come even though I have yet to pay the fee or...? He confused me but I just wanted to get in and get out so I never asked.
The first card is included in the fees that you paid
The $50 is for renewals/replacements

Can I ask you some questions about the landing process? I just got my landing papers in the mail too!
What kinds of things did they ask you when you crossed? I think I'll be crossing sometime in the next two weeks and I was just curious.
Also, if you're going to be moving to another address can you tell them that at the border so your PR card goes there?
Also does your sponsor need to be present or can he meet me on the other side of the border?
Any info would be great! Especially from someone who just did this! :)
