FINALLY after messing around on this for nearly three years!! We are filing tomorrow. Any last minute things to consider/check on? I am so ready to STOP thinking about this! I hardly care anymore if they say yes or no. That will come when it comes...I just want to send it off and forget about it!! The only thing that is bad is my Police clearances are way old; from October of last year. We had to do everything one tiny step at a time and I didn't realize at the time about the 3 month thing. My hubby and I both decided we will send in what we have and only redo if they ask for it. We are out of time and no better off financially so we'll see if they request new ones. I have never in my life had even a slight brush with the law except for 1 speeding ticket and that hasn't changed since Oct ;) I am excited!
I don't remember your situation, but I assume you're waiting it out in Canada as a visitor? Have you been here in Canada since you got the police clearances? If so, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't request new US police clearances, but did request an RCMP one. That's what happened to us. We filed with more-or-less expired US clearances, too.

I'm not going to suggest being proactive and getting one done before they request it, but if they do request one, here is the information for you: http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm They now provide electronic fingerprinting in some locations, so the turnaround time should be quicker than it was for us. Best of luck with your processing!
I have been here in Canada the entire time, yes. And actually I did already do the Canadian one too! When I went to the local place they insisted I do the RCMP electronic one before I did the US ones...not sure why but I figured they knew best lol So hopefully they can just run them again since my prints are on file already. Thanks for the reply :D
