Not much to put here yet, except that I mailed our package on October 17, and it left the United States on October 18.

USPS lists the estimated delivery time as 5 days. So much for Express Mail.
It was listed as "out for delivery" yesterday morning, but there have been no updates since then. It appears that Canada Post doesn't do delivery confirmation for Express Mail coming from the USPS and going to P.O. boxes, but I don't see anything to indicate that it hasn't been delivered.
check the tracking # in canadapost.ca
you might get the update earlier via Canadapost than usps because ultimately Canadapost will deliver the package. And Once canadapost update the tracking then usps will update in their database.
thanks.
Both Canada Post and USPS say the same thing (here's Canada Post's output):

2009/10/22 08:36 MISSISSAUGA Item out for delivery

There's nothing after that. Nothing to indicate, and no reason to suspect, that CIC didn't receive it, though.
The signature confirmation finally was sent to us last night, even though it was signed for last week.
Yes, Canada Post updates the tracking information quite late...
According to today's e-CAS update, they evaluated our application, made a decision, and sent us a letter, all on November 5.

My middle name was spelled correctly several dozen times in the application, and incorrectly zero times, and yet they managed to misspell it.
Quick update just to confirm that we got the letter from Mississauga and they did approve the sponsorship.
Just got an e-mail not five minutes ago with acknowledgment of receipt from Buffalo.
Sounds like you're moving along briskly!
Very nice
Got a letter from the Buffalo consulate. They want us to fill out a statutory declaration of common-law union, so we'll do that.
e-CAS flipped over to "Decision Made" today, but I don't think they've received the statutory declaration yet, unless they picked it up this morning.

edit: They picked it up this morning.
Quick timeline!
Very quick! Congratulations!
Hi YorkFactory,

I have a very similar timeline. Nov 5 was when they approved sponsorship and sent our application to Buffalo. Since then I havnt heard anything and I know i should be patient, but I'm beginning to get a bit antsy and even nervous to the point that maybe they've misplaced our application...

My question though is, did they update on ecas as soon as Buffalo started looking at your application? or was it delayed?

Thanks!! and Congrats on a quick application!!!
