Loonie Soars

WTF!!!! Everytime I asked Chapters or any bookstore to charge me U.S dollar on the book instead of Canadian dollars, because you know?
there is like 1.5 times different, They refused, then I walked away.
Grabed me back and let me do that.

Consumers didn't benefit, because big businesses still think we are dumb and didn't realized it's 91 cent now.

As long as Loonie keeps going high, all my U.S mutual fund, like Nasdaq, Dow index fund will lose stream.

I don't believe loonie can go another high, high Canadian dollar does more harm than good to Canada.

A high dollar is good for the consumer when your shopping outside Canada, if it remains high Canadian stores will eventually have to adjust their prices or risk loosing bussiness to the US.

Also good for those who travel to the US, but its bad for the manufacturing sector and it could turn bad for the tourist sector.


We have started ordering alot of our things from the US, even with shipping, duty and taxes we can usually save a decent amount to make it worthwhile.

Sucks for me because I'm still getting disability from the States! These weak conversions are killing me!
