Hi,
We have all heard of the horror stories of Scarborough and Etobicoke local office backlogs, does anybody know which office serves the province of New Brunswick? and if they have similar problems?
I know this is pre-panicking as I am sure my app will fly though at Vegreville in record time, but what if?
Anybody have experience of this New Brunswick?

Hi there
Dont pre-panic.I am sure your ride will be smooth. you can always call cic call center and ask them for your local office address.
Thanks Nazmul, You are right and not to panic, but I am sure we have all been there, reading case notes, thinking up plans A, B and C, What if scenarios?

Which in the end is all irrelevant no matter how much I research or ask questions the CIC will tell me exactly what to do and when to do it.

Too much time on my hands... I really need a work permit or a straight jacket :)
Well - I hate to tell you - but they aren't even close to opening your file
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information...ponsorship

You file might never be transferred to a local office, you don't WANT it to be transferred to a local office until it's done and they need to schedule the landing interview.

I sent in my husbands app to Vegreville in May and haven't heard a thing yet. Says they are working on April 26, but it's been like that for the past 4 weeks though. They update weekly and it hasn't changed.

Funny I noticed this as well, I have seen your case posted on trackitt., have you noticed that some cases are getting AIP well before the date posted on the website? I can't get my head around this.

I am sure in your case you will hear something very soon.
This may be a stupid question, but what is AIP?
AIP = Approval in Principal, this is when you get confirmation that you can sponser and your spouse gets the OWP (open work permit), this only happens with inland apps, all being well you should should get this soon, the current average is around 6 months.
So if it averages 6 months, then hopefully we should hear something within the next 3 weeks. Then they also say the include a 10 day mailing period. So it could be 2 weeks....or longer. lol Who knows eh?!
yup, you are almost there...
Lets hope!! I can't ask for more than hope at this point in time.
OMG, it was just updated and nothing changed!!!
