Hi folks -
We are trying to clear out 4 years of clothes, books, shoes etc so that we can move over to Canada with as little as possible. Once we're done we shouldn't have that much more stuff outwith what we pack in our suitcases. We certainly don't have enough to justify the costs of a Shipping Company.

Any advice/experiences from Brits who have moved already? Did you use a courier? We were thinking of paying the excess backage costs - I reckon we would only have an extra 20/30kg tops - this would probably work out cheaper.
Hi Scotca,

[FONT=Book Antiqua]I have no advice I'm afraid - but I'd be very interested to know how you get on with this. We were planning on ditching all of our furniture until we looked at BC property websites and discovered that almost all of the houses there have 2 living rooms! (Ok maybe we'll take the sofa!)
you can buy everything here, really, don't waste money, shipping fee is not cheap, gas price is very expensive now, it might not worth...
