I emailed immigration to see if they recieved the receipt where we paid the residential fee's.
and asked what was the next step, they responded back, and this was there response.

Good morning:

Your medical assessment is presently outstanding. We have followed up with Health Management Branch and once we receive your assessment, your file can be finalised.

My question is this, does this mean the doctor that I went to did not send the results and I should contact them or that the medical is at their immigration branch and it just takes time for them to go thru it? am confused

We have the same problem with Buffalo Consulate as well..They say they are unable to track the medical results in Ottawa. We will now have to wait and see what is happening. Buffalo has requested the RMC in Ottawa to send the results.
In the meantime we received request for Police clearance from a couple of states where we lived.Seems like someone is adding these requests to buy some more time to tracks the medical results.

Ottawa doesn't forward it, the results are input into CAIPS and LA requests the results on line. It takes about 4-6 weeks for the results to be reviewed once they are received by Ottawa.

ooh ok, ty for explaining it to me, just wanted to do whatever is needed so I can get this finalized and move on with my life lol
