I get to land next Thrusday.

It will be in the Vancouver airport. Hope it goes as smoothly as the others I have read about. Getting my list of items together now. Anyone know if I use the same form for items I am taking now verus items to follow? Just want to make sure it is as smooth as possible. Look out BC, here I come.

Thank you Sunlight, for the lists. Congrats on the successful landing. All the best.

Hi, I need some help please re: landing in a Penske Truck with a list of goods and a list of goods to follow.
The way I see it.
1. fill out form B4
2. print 2 copies of B4a
3. fill one out as "list of goods"
4. check box list of good to follow on form B4
5. second copy of B4a ....check far right box "list of goods to follow"
6. then fill out B4a with son's stuff (he's coming later)
We don't have a ton of stuff...sold most of the electronics and cumbersome stuff so we could leave it behind. Under the description we were just gonna itemize say furniture, photos, sentimental stuff, books and cd's, kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff etc.
Once we break it down into those sections we will number the containers
for ex. box#1 has linen, box#2 music cd's and put that on the B4a so that the officer will clearly see box#2 and look inside and if he checks 4 or 5 boxes and they all have what we said would be in there...then all is in order?
CanadaVisa.com says we have to break all the contents into 8 categories and then make spread sheets for each category.

I am thinking it can be simpler as long as it all matches up. What do you think?
Thanks for everything.
Your plan is great. You don't need to break it into 8 categories with spreadsheets... lol.
We listed my hubby's stuff in general categories on the B4a form (clothing, books, DVDs, linens, etc.), but didn't detail everything. If you have electronics or anything with serial numbers, I'd give those details, but otherwise I'd keep it simple. And use as many B4a pages as you need. I think we had 4.
When we crossed, the border agent never even looked in the truck. He kind of laughed about the list -- "You didn't have to be so detailed!" -- but we said we figured "better safe than sorry". And the list wasn't even all that detailed.
CONGRATS ON THE LANDING!!!!!!!! I dont have anything to say about your question. i just like to see people get to this point lol.
Congrats on the landing, and welcome to the club.
Welcome to Vancouver :)
I live downtown (West End) right near the beach, I hope you love it here as much as I do!
Grats!!
You sound much more organized than me at this point. Good luck. I'll be doing my landing in September.
Congratulations on your landing!!! :) How exciting!!! :)
