So the story starts in APR 2009 when I submitted my documents that was received on May 01 2009. May 28, CPC-M opened the file and returned asking for a heck load of documents including my Option C that I had not initially submitted
May 01 2009: CPC-M recieved my file
May 28 2009: CPC returned the entire file asking for additional documents including Option C.
June 12 2009: CPC-M received my file again with all the documentation.
June12-Aug 31 2009: Guess my file was collection dust on someone's desk
Aug 31 2009: I received a call from CPC-M asking for addiitonal documents to prove I was in Canada. In Jan, I used to work on an H1B in Michigan but lived in Windsor, so CPC-M wanted to make sure I was living in Canada.
Sep 01 2009: I faxed a whole bunch of documents about 90 pages to CPC-M (attn to the officer who called me)
Sep 02 2009: REcived another call asking a few more questions. I had to submit another 10 pages of supporitng documents.
Sep 03 2009: Sponsorship approved. File forwarded to Buffalo NY.
Sep 14 2009: Buffalo sent a AOR (I thought that was pretty fast)
Sep 14 2009: Buffalo started processing my file (I thought that was pretty fast)
Typically Buffalo processing time is ranging about 40-45 days since AOR to Decision. Oct 3rd week, I visited Consulate to check the status I was told "No Medical Result."
For 4 weeks I was told no medical result and was asked to wait for another week. In the meantime I sent 3 faxes to RMC in Ottawa indicating the date and when the medical was done.

Nov 20 2009: I get a response (email) from RMC indicating they finally found the medicals.
Nov 12 2009: IN the midst of all these I get a request for state police clearance from all the state my spouse stayed.
Nov 23 2009: Buffalo Consulate confirmed the medical results in the system.
Nov 23 2009: Phone call from Buffalo Consulate asking for Passports. (I recived a phone call since I was in touch with the COnsulate officer. I will be moving from Fort Erie and I wanted to land before I move from Fort Erie since its 5 minutes from the border. I will be moving to Edmonton where the closest border is about 5 hours and my family is here with me in Canada.
Nov 24 2009: Hopefully everything goes in smoothly.

Anyways, my 2 cents for all you folks is when you first apply, make sure you submit all the required documents and do not miss any documentation that proves your residency. once they returned my file back with additional document request, they were no bound by any timeline to process your file and I lost about 4 months "just waiting."
I could have just waited another 10 days when I first applied to get my Option C and then applied. My impatience to wait for Option C and an unfortunate "no medical found" made a 3 month process to a long 7 month process. I don't really think it that bad but I could have been a little cautious and had it processed a little earlier.

Goodluck for all of you out there who are waiting. Your time will come too.Bliss
Congrats!! Hard lesson learned, but a good lesson for all the rest of us. Glad that things have finally worked out for you and yours.
Thanks Robsluv.
I know I can't thank you enough for all the advice you give to people on this forum.
congrat.
Congrats!
Today as I mentioned in my earlier post, I was able to get the Passport turned in and got the PR issued along with IMM5292 COPR.
I turned in my police clearance along with the passport and the officer who I had been working with was kind enough to turn things around and issue me the immigrant visa in a couple of hours.
There are definitely some good folks at the consulate :)
Regards,

My wife and my son finally landed today at the Fort Erie Peace Bridge. We did the "Flag pole" landing and went straight to one of the counter where we were "Welcomed" by a rude officer.
A little suprising at the way she talked to us knowing that we were there to land. Example like, snatching the passport from my hand and her rude attitude was a little suprising. This is not what Canada is known to be and should definitley not be the first experience when a person lands in what he/she would Canada a new home.
I eventually had to talk to her supervisor about this lady's attitude. The supervisor was understanding and apologized for the behaviour which accoridng to her, everyone within CBSA are trained to be touch (no questions!!) but professional with a good integrity. Our friend seemed to lack the basics of these things.
As a Citizen, I was pretty adamant when I talked to the Supervisor since I enjoy the same rights as these people.
Anyways, all is all, we landed with no issues from a paperwork stand point and the highlight was the CBSA Supervisor (I thought she was a little senior officer) apologizing for her team member's behaviour.
