Today we received our PR Cards !!
It exactly took one month to get those cards.

30 days????ok, then i will receive that in another couple of weeks I bet...yoyo... do you know that you could use PR card to travel to Mexico without visa??

that's what I gotta do this summer or next summer, go to visit Mexico.

you have to remeber you only have 3 month after your landing day.....
I think all of you guys are still carrying your U.S one eh?

I never needed a Visa in the first place to visit Mexico or the USA!

We don't have our DL yet because we don't yet live there. Can't get a provinical drivers licence if we don't have an address! It's imperfect to be sure, but nothing we can do until we make the move.

other provincie might be fine, B.C, ICBC is crown, therefore our rules are different, 3 month after landing, otherwise, start from scratch like 16 years old, wait for 3 years for full licence if you fail to transfer out of province DL.

Wannabe: Thanks for ur wishes. It is infact a huge relief :)
Harp: I am still in US. We might move sometime this year end. I am in my 3rd trimester at this moment and dont feel safe moving !!
DB: NO DL yet. I got to apply for my SIN card too. When I was landing, it was Christmas time and all SIN offices were closed.

Feels good to have the PR in hand -- I have a hope now abt my life that it is going to be wonderful !!

u don't need SIN to get DL, I know they do that in the states, you must have SSN.....

Which other country dont requires visa to travel if you hv PR card apart from Mexico. ?

And Mamtha did you got your PR card mailed to you thru ur friend in Canada or ??
