Should the sponsor have a client ID number as well? Not that I have heard anything about anything, but am just wondering. I did try to call and they said they couldn't talk to me cause I am the sponsor, not the applicant. So should I have a client id number when my husband finally gets a client ID number?

It's really freaking me out that I can't log onto ECas and other people that sent in the apps in and around my time frame can. Should I be concerned?
So I called immigration again today. I call pretty much everyday. And she informed me that my husband and I still do not have client id numbers and that they should be getting to our file shortly.

On the other hand, my children were born in the US and after 8 long months, I was told that their citizenship certificates have been approved! So I will receive a letter for those and the cards will be sent shortly there after...so I did receive some good news!

If you have a client ID xxxx-xxxx, there will be nothing for you, except for the sponsorship and unless your spouse has dealings with Immigration in Canada, ie he won't have a client ID yet. If he does it is xxxx-xxxx As you are applying in Canada, it is about 5/6 months from the date of application at Vegreville before you receive any information.

PMM
You can try using your receipt number and the sponsor's information
Hate to tell you but, calling them everyday won't speed things up...LOL

As PMM said - inland takes longer
I know it won't speed anything up, but it makes me feel better when I get the same information..that way I know it's true. lol
If your husband was given a temporary status document on entry to Canada, it will have his Client ID# printed right on it. If he wasn't, he won't get one until they issue Approval in Principle, which could take a long time if the application gets transferred to a local office for processing. We've already discussed that this will probably be the situation in your case because you did not include much in the way of documentation and evidence to support your genuine relationship. Since your application was submitted last May, you should be hearing something within the next several weeks - either they'll issue AIP and he'll get a temporary status document (if he doesn't already have one) or the ap will be transferred and then you're back to waiting. I don't really know when/if the inland sponsor gets a client ID# or not.

As far as eCAS - don't expect too much. Mostly you'll see "In Process", "Medicals Received" and "Decision Made" and that's about it over the entire course of processing. And "Decision Made" never tells you what the decision was/is - so all you really know when your eCAS says "DM" is that you'll soon be receiving some sort of information by mail.
Hey Etoile42, maybe I'm confusing you with someone else, if so - forgive me.
I skimmed through some of your previous posts to try & refresh my memory.

You folks have 2 kids, yes? You're married, been married/together awhile? Also - did he sponsor you to go to the US?
Like I said - I might be confusing you with someone else (esp on the sponsoring to the US part)
Hello DerbyGirl,

He and I are both divorced. My ex husband sponsored me into the US. I have 2 kids from my previous marriage and we have 1 together. We have been married for 18 months and have been together for 2 years.

Robsluv, he did not get a temp status document when he came across the border..we just drove on over. I didn't know he could have received something at that point.
I have used my client id and file id and I can never get any information of status online, so dunno what I am doing wrong
