Haha, I think all my posts open with, "so I called CIC", anyways, when I talked to the representative, he told me that they are working on the file now. Do they always say that, or are they actually working on the file now? I asked him why I don't have a client ID number and my husband does, and he told me its cause they don't create an immigration file for me until my sponsorship has either been approved or denied, because I'm born Canadian citizen and I'm not immigrating. Is that true?

I feel like all I do is call and wait, call and wait. I should stop calling and waiting....oh I'm so anxious!
Well, we filed outland and she got a client id when she was approved to sponsor. I haven't got my client ID cept for my VR.
My guy didn't have a client number until he was approved to sponsor - it's almost identical to mine - 1 digit different
So I won't get one until my file have been approved or denied eh? They told me that they are 'working on the file'. Does that just mean it's in process like it says on the site for my husband, or does that mean they are actually looking at my paperwork and getting it done?
Hi

Nope, Mississauga opens it and makes the decision the same day (or shortly thereafter)

PMM
You filed inland - it's a different process all together
I can tell you that the VO handling your case is not sitting there working on just your case from start to finish
They're working on it - they don't have your file coded to say "lie to her when she calls & tell her we're working on it" :)

AIP is first stage approval with an inland case, and - depending - it can go quickly - or it can take awhile - depends if there are any questions or problems
All you can really do is wait
