Hi everyone,
I noticed the moved message under this post and then saw that a new thread had been put up. Very good as CSIS processing seems to hold up quite a few cases.
So yesterday and an American was beaten up and stabbed here in Moscow. Was this part of the growing xenophobia or some business problems solved in the local style? Either way my letter to CSIS about the concern that I have for my family has not yet been answered. In it I had proposed to take my wife to a third country for the interview that they canceled here in Moscow due to personnel problems.
I find it bitterly cruel that they would schedule a third interview and then cancel it with no new date. So we once again sit in a situation where we have no idea of what and when something will happen.
I feel for you - I can't imagine being all geared up for progress and then have the door shut tight in your face with no clue as to when it might re-open, especially when someone you love is potentially in a threatening situation. Don't know that this new CSIS forum will help clear up any of the mystery surrounding the process - and it certainly can't make anybody's process go any faster - but at least it can provide a bit of encouragement that those "stuck" in CSIS limbo are not alone.

Hi guelph, do you have any response to your letter to CSIS yet? Did they honour it in any way at all? Did they at least acknowledge they received it?
Hi Akk114, No not yet. I had it sent through 2 MP's as well. Since at the end of August it will be 13 Months since the visa post opened the file I am at a bit of a loss to tell you the truth. This whole thing has exhausted my family and I. There does not seem to anything that we can do. I did here from my source that the whole thing with the canceled interview is because of staffing problems at CSIS. So who knows when what will happen. I was hoping they would cancel this interview as it seems like a big waste of time for everybody. Who knows. There are a lot of people suffering here so me crying out won't help anyone. I am just trying to keep the nerves together. Maybe something will happen soon. cheers Guelph
Yah, guelph, I am really hope that they can cancell the whole thing with 3rd interview for your wife since it seems fell through. Sure, something will happen, we all hope for ourselves for the same, we just do not know when.
I feel pretty much the same way as you do. I think you recognize me as vfw114 from the immigration.ca forum. It was such an activity I developed for the first year of my ordeal with the CIC - I was writing to minister, visa office, stalked MP, sieged his office with my requests and now I just feel the I exhausted all resources. Yesterday, when I've got a phone call from the MP office - they wanted to "follow-up" with my sponsorship case - I did not even feel any enthuziasm when the office assistant told me that she is going to send another inquiry to the "minister's line" (I do not even have an idea what the h... is it and I di dnot asked). Ok, fine, send it if you feel like it, what the difference. In september it will be two years since I submitted my sponsorship app to mississauga, and in October - two years since my husband PR app was accepted in Moscow visa office. I know this is not comforting to you to hear such story as mine. I even embarrassed to post my timeline in the discussions boards - do not want to scare others...
