For anyone wanting to follow up with CSIS regarding their background check, I called the director's office today and asked for their fax number. They gave it to me:
CSIS Director's Office Fax Number: +1 613 231 0437
That should save a few days mailing time.
Anyway, the reason I wanted that was to follow up myself. I called CIC today and the guy said that the RCMP check was complete and they are just waiting for CSIS. After all the lengths CIC went to to remove any reference of CSIS from my FOSS notes I found it quite amusing that he just said straight up "yeah, we're waiting for the security service" when I asked him what the status of my file was.
