Yeh! Just got letter from CIC saying I'm an "eligible sponsor"!
Here's our time line so far...
October 2006 Began gathering documents - had to wait until mid May to be 1 year "commonlaw" before we could submit.
July 07 Had to get Photo's & Medical complete for Smiles' daughter! Had to wait til she finished school to come visit us!
Aug 21/07 sent package to Mississauga!
Oct 2/07 recieved letter from CPC accepting me as sponsor! Package is being forwarded to Buffalo.
How do I make one of those great time lines???

How do you get a ticker that isn't a count down to a specific date? How do you make it just count?
I'm not sure maybe RobsLuv can help - I'm a bit "illiterate" when it comes to these things! I was pretty impressed with myself to simply get what I did!

Never mind.........I figured it out! There's one type that's for how old your child is, so I just put in "Application" for the name and vwalaa!

Finally got confirmation that Buffalo received our paperwork on October 19th ...Now we wait some more :-)

Just wondering: for ur sponsorship acceptance, did they accept your application on the same the they started processing it?
because our application was sent in on the 28th of sept, and they started processing our application on oct 29th..and it's still showing in process for us and by looking at all everyone else's posts they get their acceptance on the same day they started processing it =/

I don't know if they started processing on the same day as they recieved our application. I know it took about a month to hear back from the time we received notice they accepted me as a sponsor to the time Buffalo sent us confirmation they received our file to review. If took from Oct 19th til now to receive anything else. We just got the request to forward Smiles' passport and more photos so they can attached the visa, so I can only assume they don't want/need anything else. I just express posted the passport to Buffalo so hopefully we will get everything back within 3 weeks.
We paid all the fees when we sent in the application, and the application was as complete as we could make it. I think that helps speed things up! Along with having a clean record with no police reports, no medical issues, etc...

Feb 13, 2008 Smiles & I got Married in HAWAII
Feb 15, 2008 Recieved Passort with Visa and Landing Documents.
We just got back from Hawaii and are planning to "Land" Smiles within the next week or two!

Congratulations to the both of you!!!!!! Did you like Hawaii? I went there when I graduated from high school.(many years ago,lol) We took a cruise around the islands, it was beautiful!!!!!! Good luck with your landing!!!! :)
