This is our application so far... still a long way to go. My husband and I are currently living together in Texas (I have dual citizenship) while we await his PR application, so we can move to Canada and live near my extended family!

Application mailed to CPC-M on October 26, 2007.
Application delivered to CPC-M on October 30, 2007.

Let's hope our applications are processed quickly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

We are planning on moving to southern Ontario. (where i was born and raised)... i'm ready to move back closer to my extended family!
Hi! From NJ here and we filed in September 2006, my sponsor was approved right away. My application went to Buffalo and they started processing October 21, 2006. My medicals and police checks are done and were still waiting for any word.

Does anyone know of a timeline for checking for apps done outside of Canada? I found the one for inside, but I would like to know whats happening with the Buffalo applications.

Also has anyone heard of "filling a quota" of applicants a year?

Thanks!
wow 2006???? the approval rate is going from 3-6 months with 80% approved in 11 months.

Thats great Mj!!!! Let us know what that letter says when you get it in your hands.LOL
I received the letter today!
"We are pleased to advise that you have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor." YAY... approved! Our application has been forwarded to buffalo, and the letter also says that it "has been found to meet minimum requirements for completeness". Very exciting!
Yippee I am so happy for you. I found that when I mail stuff back to Texas it takes exactly a week unless theres a holiday in there somewhere then its a little longer and the same amount of time when I get something from back home. Congratulation!!!!!!!!
thanks! my husband and i are actually going to Canada in 10 days to visit my family for Christmas... I'm hoping we won't have any problems at the border!
I hope you dont either. Just make sure you have all your paperwork with you just in case. :)
