How do they check your background?
Would you still get approve if you were still in collection agency? Like you owe money from your credit cards?and That you've been sued by one of the creditor? receive a summon letter with court date but didnt go and pay them still?

are you the sponsor? as long as the sponsor is not in a active bancruptcy then your credit doesnt matter

That's right, they don't check the credit history of an applicant. Background checks are mostly about making sure there's nothing in your background (clubs, groups, organizations, etc) that would indicate that you or your family might be at threat to Canadian security.
