Hey guys,

I've had some rough times recently so I got delayed in sending everything away. I am filing outland and have ALMOST everything ready to send off. (initial application).

-My reciept for CIC is dated 09/09/09
-My state police clearance (livescan) is also dated 09/09/09

The ONLY thing I haven't taken care of yet is the FBI fingerprints.

I am hoping to go find a place in Burlington/ VT tomorrow to get them done. I have a money order along with cover letter ready to be sent away.

I have two questions:

1- Am I going to be screwed because it has taken this long since I made initial payment to CIC?

2- The money order is for $18.00, and I'm requesting the FBI sends this back to Canada.... am i supposed to include extra money to cover the costs of Canadian shipping? Or a self stamped envelope?
That's fine on the payment
I don't remember sending anything (envelope) with my FBI scan - they sent it to me in Canada
Nothing on the FBI's request page says anything about sending postage/envelope so don't - just send what they ask for

Keep in mind the FBI clearances are going to take about 10 weeks to hear back . much longer than the state ones took.
FBI clearances don't have to take that long. Make sure you write on the outside of the envelope that it is for Canadian Immigration, and a (reasonable) date that you need it by. My husband had his within about 3 - 3 1/2 weeks.
