I know that I've posted similar questions before and that this topic has been discussed before, I just want to make sure I understand what I'm supposed to do to import my Chevy truck.
To export from the US I simply have to present my title to the US customs 72 hours before I export it. My question here is can I present the title more than 72 hours in advance? Can I fax them my title or do I have to actually present it in person. Who should I try to contact to ask them these questions and find out the hours that I can export it.
To import I need a recall clearance letter. Is it okay if I just order the clearance online and have GM send my letter to riv? I don't want to pay the extra money to get a copy for myself if its not necessary. I also need my title, registration, receipt, and a manufacturers statement of compliance label. Does anyone know what that last thing is?
Any help on this matter would be wonderful. Sorry to ask about a topic that's been asked about before. I just want to be organized. Thanks in advance.
