I just have a question about when my fiance should get his medical/police clearance done. He's a UK citizen, coming to Canada in April, we're getting married in June. Once we're married I'll apply to sponsor him using an outside application while he's here under visitor status. I understand the police clearance is only good for 6 months, and the medical for a year. Should he get the medical done before he leaves the UK, and then request the police clearance from Canada once it's closer to the time we'll start applying for PR? Is that possible? Thanks for any input.
He can get the medical done here. You just need to make sure that it is a doctor on CIC's list, and make sure he fills out the forms for outside medical.
