I wonder if she is filing inland or out. Past posts I've posted have made it seem that it is not this easy.
As discussed with bill..I understand I'm just a visitor until the PR status is finalized and I will be staying home
in the US a few nights a week and every other weekend. But what does she mean visitor record and now she can cross
without worrying? Do i need one of these Visitor Records after I apply or no? I suppose if it was mean to work to the effect that I could
cross back and forth (to and from work) and spend every night in Canada I would really like that... Is that was the VR would allow me? Gosh I'm
so confused I wish I could afford an immigration lawyer sometimes..

Yeah I never have issues going back and forth...and we do it all the time since we live in a border town...I've gone over for routine shopping trips, to get an H1N1 shot (haha)...all sorts of trips. Originally when I entered Canada after our wedding, the stamped my passport in the Toronto airport...but when we got to our hometown my husband went and made friends with an immigration officer and he let me get my stuff (which was stored in Michigan just over the border) and gave me a visitor record coming back in...all I had to do was show him our marriage license and the receipt for our PR fees. Now I can go back and forth all I want and don't have to worry about them not letting me back in cause it says on my paper that I'm married to my husband and that we've applied for PR
