Hi all,

I will be grateful if someone can advice me for the following matter:

I studied in the UK for a number of years. In my last year, I forgot to renew my student visa until six months later. I quickly applied for visa renewal but was rejected by Home Office. They wanted me to leave the country without delay. So I left and never returned.

My question is
-When Canada High Com requests for the Police Clearance from the UK, shall the date (to be filled in the application form) be included those after visa expired? or before expired?
- What is the impact of filling the above dates?
-How UK is going to check my departure date from the country?(There was no stamping on my passport when i left UK at the airport)

Thanks
I know this is a seriously old post and you probably have everything taken care of already, but I might be able to help somewhat because I spent a few years in the UK and had to get clearances from them.

I'm not sure that it really matters all that much when you came and left and whether your visa was expired when you left. The purpose is to see if you have an POLICE background, like whether or not you were ever arrested or complaints filed against you. I could be wrong, but I don't think this is in any way related to your status as an immigrant.

Good luck to you!
