Citizenship test:
Oath:
(Thought some of you many be interested in my husband's progress.)
My husband is taking the citizenship test June 11th. He was born here, but is being considered for a position as a citizenship judge, so he has to pass it too.
What office is going to be processing his application Delicia?
If I remember - he's in the T.O area?
Wishing you both luck that everything is completed in a timely manner.
(as timely as immigration issues go, that is...)
He will be processed at the infamous and dreaded Etobicoke office.
The only reason he decided to pursue citizenship is now that he travels back and forth to the U.S. regularly and his name is flagged with CIC due to his previous sponsorship application, CIC pulls him into secondary at the airport everytime he returns to Canada. These little side trips usually take 2 hours + at Pearson. CIC is keeping track of his time outside of the country to make sure he is not jeporadizing his PR status. Personally, I would think that CIC officers could find better use of their time, but whatever. He actually has an easier time getting into the U.S. than returning to Canada.
Hubby received his acknowledgement letter and citizenship study guide on 6/17/08.
