Hi
After submitting our outland application from U>S they wrote us and told us to submit extra documents and the letter said we needed to do this within 3 months or they may cancel our application.
We submitted everything on time but my question is does that mean were at the end of the line like starting the process all over. We haven't heard anything and they have had the extra documents for 2 months now.
Maybe were just impatient. It's seems so long since the process all started.
Thanks
Bunny
If it is any help I submitted a document to CIC in October 2009, ecas shows they received it January 7th 2010. Do you have confirmation of delivery? If in doubt give them a call.
Hi
Yes I have confirmation signed of delivery from priority post.
Buffalo doesn't seem to answer their phones or emails so not sure how you contact them.
I am hoping that it just got delayed because of Christmas and New Years.
Thanks
Bunny
Can you access ECAS any info there?
Other that that I would relax and assume that the CIC are working at their usual pace, if you sent all the docs they requested and have proof of delivery I would say you are on safe ground. But keep trying to call / email just to be sure
Thank You
I check through Checking your Application through the Canadian Immigration site and it just says it's in process so I guess I will just wait.
I am assuming that E-Cas is the same is it.
Thanks
Bunny
Buffalo is notorious for non-communication . . . you just have to be patient and wait. I know it's hard, but eventually you'll hear something. And, no, you didn't get put to the bottom of the pile again. We had the same thing: application got to them in late April, they immediately asked for additional info which we got to them by the first week of June. They never acknowledged receipt and we didn't hear another thing from them until the following January, but the CAIPS notes show that they got our info and then the file went to someone for review and it sat from June 14 until Dec 18th. Unfortunately that's not unusual for Buffalo.
All eCAS is ever going to say is "In Process" - until one day it will say "Decision Made" and then you can expect a letter. Buffalo is currently finalizing in 4-9 months after receiving the application so you're still within the posted timelines. Hopefully it's of some comfort to know that this is "normal" and you will eventually hear something.
