Yeah...not me

Anyways - I seem to recall a few people here who are pregnant - or their parter is pregnant & they aren't covered MSP (or aren't covered yet)

I found this
Quote:The staff clinic provides care for pregnant women who meet the following conditions.
You have no medical coverage or your medical coverage is pending (if MSP coverage is obtained prior to 30 weeks pregnancy, the patient may be referred to the Family Practice Maternity Service for ongoing care).
You have landed immigrant or refugee status.
You have special client status (decided on by the referring clinic). This is a joint program with Vancouver Coastal Health.
You have no access to prenatal care.

Maybe it can help someone
seriously, if you go in, just say no ID and have lived here for past 3 month, what they gotta do? refuse you? impossible.

but even i have MSP, hospital waiting is suxx!!!i cut my finger while i made sushi last weekend......bleeding like i got stab...
went to hospital, ETA is 2 hours...
whatever, i mean i just do Rambo style, wrap it up.
Next day when i go to clinic, my own clinic, family dr called sick, clinic is close.

Different family Dr gave me shxt, "why you came here today, where were you yesterday, too late, just use antibiotical cream."

He was so cranky...OMG, this is our small town health care..

They wont refuse anyone DB, however if you dont qualify for MSP, they wont pay for the visit and the hospital will bill for it, and the cash prices are not the same. I cut my finger and needed 2 stitches, the bill was just over 800.
i was supposed to have 2 stitches, but was too late after i came to clinic the next day.. i told you because i did Rambo style to myself...haha, whatever, small towns like us, family doctor is always a challenge, because they work long hours, low paid, nobody wanna come here
