Hi again.... :)
I am trying to fill in what I can till my documents arrive but on the Schedule 1 background declaration in question 9 it asks if you have been refused admission to Canada and I have. I got turned away in 2008 to get proof of ties but it was a long drawn out ordeal as she seemed to want to make up a story of how I was trying to move in and I barely knew my husband at that time. SO I went home to get my mortgage & utility info and came back and was allowed in that same night with her standing in the next booth over. It was an emotional experience and put me in fear right away.
Should I just state the facts? This is what I typed.
On my visit to Canada on 4/16/08 I was told to go home and bring back proof of ties to the US so I did. I returned with my proof and was then allowed in and never had a problem since.
Is that too vague for them or should I give all the details. I don't want to have this hold up our process because of a lack of details but basically at the bottom of it this is what happened.
Oh and ps I guess I forgot to mention I was unaware of the value of goods going up and I had purchased some bins for my husband to help him organize his bathroom which is what got me in trouble because I told the agent at the crossing the amount I had with me was $150. That is why she thought I was trying to move up I guess. I also had pillows with me. My husband at that time had no pillows so I brought two new ones so I know why she thought that but seriously I was just naive at the goods amount and was truly helping him organize his bathroom. :( She turned my day into something ugly when i was doing something really thoughtful. So I guess I need to add that I had goods over the limit. I don't want to get too into it.
Thanks again for your help!!!
Shawn
