Full Version: Does Mississsauga ever mess up the Visa office?

Hi guys,

I received my Sponsorship Approval for my Japanese wife on Nov 8. However, the letter said that they're sending the application to the Hong Kong office (Manila is supposed to handle Japan applications). I've already faxed Mississauga about the issue, and now I'm waiting until I can get a response.

Has anyone heard of Mississauga sending applications to the wrong office? Or is it possible that they changed the office because of backlog? I'm wondering if the officer got messed up somehow because I (the sponsor) was born in Hong Kong.

Cheers!

It must be a mix up, even if there was a huge backlog in Manilla, HK does not process visas for Japanese citizens (thank your lucky stars for this).

It could be they sent you the wrong form letter from CPC-M. They are just stock letters they send out to everyone. If they did actually send it to HK by mistake the VOs there will catch the mistake and probably send it on to Manilla.

I hope you hear back from CPC-M soon!
Thanks for your reply. You're right, after I faxed CIC-M the issue, I got a letter a week later with the right office info. They didn't say whether the letter was wrong or it was actually sent to the wrong office. I hope it was the former.

Anyway, I've been reading about your case and I hope your lady gets her visa soon! Best of luck. I was born in HK myself, so I wish her the best of luck.
